Internships are full- or part-time temporary paid positions that offer students an opportunity to gain experience in their career field. Internships are a great way to network with industry professionals, gain experience, learn more skills, test a career option, and possibly earn a permanent position.
Co-operative positions allow students to gain work and professional experience while earning money to meet their expenses.
Federal Work Study (FWS)
Students qualify for Federal Work Study by completing a Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA). FWS positions are part-time positions that encourage involvement in the community while helping students to meet educational expenses. Students are paid bi-weekly and work between 20 and 25 hours a week.
Acceptance into this program is based on financial need, determined by federal standards. Students must be enrolled at least 6 hours per semester to qualify and are awarded funds each fiscal year. (The fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30).
Students in their last term will work directly with their Career Advisor for a fulltime job search. Students will have access to HireDeVry to search available positions and post their updated resume.
