Bring the young women from your high school to an event devloped especially for them!
DeVry University's HerWorld program is designed to help prepare young women for college, inspire them to reach their career aspirations and introduce them to careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Led by successful female professionals, the day's sessions will give students the opportunity to meet other young women their age, work with their peers on interactive educational activities, set new personal goals, and learn about exciting career opportunities that they may never have dreamed of. Each year, DeVry University joins forces with companies and organizations who share our mission of increasing the number of young women who consider non-traditional careers in these fields. Through discussions and hands-on activities led by leading female professional role models, participants will be challenged to employ creative-thinking skills in a team-based environment that promotes career exploration and growth. At the end of the day, our goal is to have students walk away with new inspirations and the confidence that no career is out of their reach.
National HerWorld Month is celebrated in March. We had two successful events and hosted more than 500 girls, encouraging them to learn more about STEM opportunities.
